Waterfall in SC

We had a great time with Grammy at these falls in SC. We visited West Minster, SC in June for a few days and toured the falls, did some hiking, and visited the Highlands. Thomas and I even went rafting for Father's Day! More pics to come when I locate my camera. :(

More 8, 9, and 10 month Pics

Here are some shots I got from my cell phone over the past few months. All is good in Charlotte and we're getting ready for a move back to the other side of Charlotte; moving from South Park to Plaza Midwood. We love the area over there and are excited to walk to brunch, the grocery store, to friends' homes, and only drive 5 minutes to work! I'll send pics when we settle in!

We're also getting ready for a trip with Grammy and Grandpa! They're coming up to celebrate Ellie's Baptism!

Ellie has mastered scooting. She doesn't crawl forward, but pushes back. She started at the center of the bed and has, as you can see, scooted backwards. I caught her just before she went too far!

This is at Easter...so she was about 8 months old (she's now 10 months). She was a pro at sitting but hadn't yet starting moving. Grammy dressed her this morning. :)

Ellie had just woken up from a nap and we promptly went on a walk. Still a little dazed. She loves to sit sideways in the stroller or prop her legs up on the bar. It's so cute to see her "lounge" and to make herself comfortable...I sense that's a Thomas gene. If it were mine, she would be sitting up, face-forward, with her seat belt on.

Happy Mother's Day! Ellie was hanging out with us and Thomas' family at the Corkscrew in Birkdale Village. She's sporting a Pucci scarf straight from Italy given to her by Nonna. She wears it a lot and always gets a compliment! So stylish. :)

Laughing is Too Funny

Ellie's giggling is contagious. You can get her to laugh like this pretty easily. She's just so happy! :)

Misc. Fun

Here are some snipits from early February. The image quality seems a little less than satisfactory...the pics were emailed from my phone so I think some of the quality was lost.

I'll have to be better about toting the camera around more.

Thomas got Ellie her first swim suit for Valentines Day. He took Ellie & I to Blowing Rock/Boone for the weekend and we had a great time! It was way too cold outside to enjoy the suit, but we had to have her try it on and do a photoshoot. We've been going to the Harris Y right near our house and using their indoor pool. I've got pictures of that adventure somewhere!?! I'll post...

But Ellie loves the water and does a great job floating!

Mmm! Sweet potatoes! Ellie is still enjoying solids and getting used to the idea. So far, she's had banana's (her fave), sweet potatoes, peas, and apple (I blended one up into sauce form). Sometimes I mix rice cereal or oatmeal cereal into the food, but it makes it so much more bland. I think avocado is next on our list!

So chilly! Ellie is sporting her super-cool tights, with her super-cool hat, and her gorgeous dress (from Grammy!). She loves sitting like a big girl in the stroller (and not in her car seat attached to the stroller any more). What she does not love is the cold wind! When it gets blustery and really chilly, she will suck in air and kind of catch her breath when it hits her face and if it keeps up for a few seconds, she will force me to pick her up....

She looks so cold down there all by herself!

She is not a fan of the cold weather. But we go out anyway! :)
